S&P/ASX 200 Expected To Open Down

The Australian share market or S&P/ASX 200 (INDEXASX: XJO)(ASX: XJO) index is expected to open lower Monday morning, according to the Sydney Futures Exchange.

Dow Jones (DJI): down 1.8%

Oil (WTI): $US66.02 per barrel

Gold: $US1,347 per ounce

On Friday, London-listed shares of BHP Billiton Limited (ASX: BHP) and Rio Tinto Limited (ASX: RIO) closed flat and down 0.5%, respectively, according to Yahoo! Finance.

Making news in Australia and in the ASX 200, Sky Network Television Ltd (ASX: SKT), the New Zealand-based pay tv operator, announced the retirement of John Fellet. Mr Fellet plans to retire later this year.

“In order for the Board to commence a strategic succession process, I have indicated my desire
to retire within the next 12 months,” Mr Fellet said.

Software business Gentrack Group Ltd (ASX: GTK) announced a new supply contract with E.ON, one of the world’s largest investor-owned energy utility service providers. Gentrack’s Velocity utility and customer management solution will support E.ON in the UK and Romania.

AMP Limited (ASX: AMP), the wealth management company, announced the retirement of CEO Craig Meller, who plans to step down at the end of 2018. “Craig has led the transformation of AMP over the past five years,” AMP Chairman Catherine Brenner said. “The business has a clear and compelling strategy for growth and is performing well.”

Shares in Melbourne-based sports technology business Catapult Group International Ltd (ASX: CAT) entered a trading halt this morning as it plans to raise $25 million from institutional investors to, “fund Elite and Prosumer growth opportunities”. The shares will be issued at $1.10 apiece.

Harvey Norman Holdings Limited (ASX: HVN), the retail and property company, made a disclosure to the ASX with regards to its subsidiary, HNM Galaxy Pty Limited (HNM). Harvey Norman said HNM is a wholly owned subsidiary; HNM owns 49.9% of Coomboona Holdings Pty Ltd and Gerald Harvey is a director of all three companies. Harvey Norman also said that administrators were appointed for Coomboona Holdings Pty Ltd and its subsidiaries.

According to Bloomberg, Coomboona Holdings Pty Ltd is a private agricultural business.
