Australian software business Pro Medicus Limited (ASX: PME) announced Tuesday morning that it has won a 7-year deal worth $27 million with Partners Healthcare in the US.
Pro Medicus is a provider of radiology information systems, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and advanced visualization solutions.
Pro Medicus’ New US Contract
It has won a 7-year contract worth $27 million with Partners Healthcare, the largest health system in Massachusetts, it’s one of the largest health providers in North America.
The transaction licensing model contract will see Pro Medicus’ Visage 7 technology implemented at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, there is scope to expand to other Partners’ hospitals in the future.
“This deal has repositioned us in the market. Not only does it add to our rapidly growing North American footprint,” Pro Medicus CEO Dr Sam Hupert said.
“We now have two out of the top four US hospitals standardising on our platform, which we see a catalyst for growth in both North American and other global markets.”
The Pro Medicus share price was up almost 6% in early trade in response to this news.
