ALL ORDINARIES Index Rises, CSL (ASX:CSL) Shares Up

Australia’s share market, or the All Ordinaries Index (INDEXASX:XAO)(ASX:XAO), is currently up 0.75% at lunch.

The CSL Limited (ASX: CSL) share price is the biggest contributor to the index’s rise, the CSL share price is currently up by 2.6% with international shares experiencing a rise overnight.

Retail conglomerate company Premier Investments Limited (ASX: PMV) has seen its share price fall 1% in response to the half year result, investors may have been disappointed by the slowdown of Smiggle growth.

The Suncorp Group Ltd (ASX: SUN) share price is up 1.7% with the insurance business announcing a special dividend for shareholders.

SEEK Limited (ASX: SEK) shares are up 0.4% with the online employment classifieds business a potential beneficiary from Australia’s unemployment rate improving to 4.9%.

Gold miner shares have taken a tumble in response to St Barbara Ltd’s (ASX: SBM) update which sent its share price down 31%. Other miners like Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited (ASX: SAR) and Northern Star Resources Ltd (ASX: NST) are down more than 3%.
