In ASX sharemarket news, gold mining business Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited (ASX: SAR) has released its quarterly activities report for the June 2019 quarter.
Saracen said that it produced 88,096 ounces of gold in the quarter, 45,845 ounces from Carosue Dam and 42,251 ounces from Thunderbox, for an all in sustaining cost (AISC) of AUD $1,026 per ounce.
FY19 production was 355,077 ounces at an ASIC of AUD $1,030, which was in the middle of revised FY19 guidance. FY20 guidance has been increased to 350,000 ounces to 370,000 ounces with an AISC of AUD $1,025 to AUD $1,075
Gold sales were 90,230 ounces at an average price of AUD $1,754 per ounce. The June half unaudited net profit is between $47 million to $$50 million.

Retirement village operator Aveo Group (ASX: AOG) has provided an update on its strategic review.
Aveo said that it is continuing to negotiate with Brookfield Property Group with the view to enter into a takeover deal. “Significant progress has been made” and the two businesses continue to engage to conclude the transaction.
But, there’s still no certainty that a deal will be made.

FlexiGroup Limited (ASX: FXL) has announced an update regarding its buy now, pay later business Humm,
FlexiGroup said that it is now being used by other homewaress, electrical and health verticals including Bing Lee, Betta Electrical and 1300 Smiles Limited (ASX: ONT).
Humm has added 2,000 seller locations since May, taking the total to 15,000 ‘partners’. The average ‘big things’ wallet purchase price is $3,760 and the ‘little things’ average purchase price is over $400 online. In the month following the relaunch, the number of Humm transactions increased by 22%.
