Introducing The Australian Finance Podcast
I’m Kate Campbell (one of your podcast hosts) and I’ll be introducing you to the key ideas of the podcast and the best place to start.
My co-host Owen Raszkiewicz and I started The Australian Finance Podcast three years back, after we found each other on Twitter of all places. We both wanted the same thing: to help other Australians take back control of their time and money.
We started recording episodes weekly in the evenings after our day jobs, and hoped what we put out into the world would help someone. Even changing one person’s financial future was (and still is) worth it.
Fast forward to today, our voices have been listened to over 1.3 million times (which is insane) and we’re proud to nurture a community focused on making money a less taboo topic. We’ve got over 10 free personal finance courses (I’m super proud of my FIRE one), we write regular articles on Rask Education, we host The Australian Finance Podcast and The Australian Investors Podcast, we have a vibrant online community, and we’re just getting started.
Once you start listening to an established show, it can be challenging working out where to start. So I want to introduce you to some key foundational episodes, along with some more recent and highly recommended conversations.
I’d also recommend getting familiar with our show notes page, which includes some key resources to explore after listening to each episode. This will help you consolidate what you learn each week, and dive into each topic in more detail.

I think it’s just as important, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed having those conversations.
