Lots of great questions answered (in order)

Split the difference Why is BlackRock running a stock split on the IHVV ETF and what did it mean for investors?
I. P. Freely iShares recently did a stock split for the ETF IVV (15:1). Any advantages or disadvantages for this? Thanks!
Heads down thumbs up? Howdy. I dropped a small amount into a couple of ETFs to try them out but have since learned a bit more and don’t plan to buy them again. I kinda want to sell them just to keep my portfolio tidier and more stream-lined (and not have to pay for sharesight if I get too many). This doesn’t seem like a smort financial rationale, thumbs up or thumbs down?
Scrooge McDuck Hi all,

Considering investment strategies inside of an industry super fund. There seems to be a lot of fancy options, with high costs but they don’t outperform the index fund options year on year (in my case).

Based on this, I have chosen to keep my super only within the Australian and International etf options. My question is- is there any taxation benefit to holding the majority of funds in the Aussie shares option?
Do you still get any benefits of franking credits inside of your super- I know super is taxed at 15%- but if you get fully franked dividends does the super fund apply to get the other 15% back for you?

Out of interest what would be the best splits in super? 50/50 Aussie to international?

Hi guys! I am looking into opening a share trading account and with some research it seems CMC Markets are rated one of the best overall platforms. Why is it that I never hear anyone speak on podcasts about it? What do you guys think?
Million dollar move, Tencent finish Hey guys, love the weekly banter! Wanting to know your thoughts on Telix Pharmaceuticals. Have had some positive news lately and seem to be trending in the right direction, thoughts?
MAM-L (Middle-Aged Millennial, no Lycra) Happy 40th Drew. As someone of similar vintage, I’ve been thinking about how to approach asset allocation and rebalancing towards defensive assets over time. Should it be an Incremental % increase each year from a certain age? Do you take distributions from growth assets and reinvest towards defensive? Do you set % asset allocation growth vs defensive for age range and sell only when overweight growth then buy into defensive? Do you work back from “retirement age” to determine time horizon for changes? When should you start to factor in sequence of returns risk? I know the answer will start with “It depends” …..just like to hear your thoughts on what it depends on!

Monika I am very new to investing and just setting everything it up. I have a family trust and a company linked to it. Now I would like to set up a bank account that would be used for trading and linked with a trading platform like SelfWealth. Which bank would you recommend (so that they can support trust funds)? Thanks
Wayne Keane Hi Owen,

On the 19th Nov Episode, I heard your rule of thumb about having a minimum of $1500 to justify the brokerage fee. I currently invest with CMC markets and they offer $0 brokerage on trades <$1000, which I use all the time, $ averaging and all that goodness. That just got me thinking, am I paying in some other way, such as increased spread? What are tour thoughts on this?

MayIRaskAQuestion Hi OwenDrew, love the podcast. What would you think of a hypothetical model EFT portfolio that replaces Emerging markets allocation (for example 10%) with thematic Etfs like SEMI, ACDC, FANG, or others? How would you compare this to Emerging markets Etf (passive or active) in terms of risk and other factors?
