In this 2 Sense segment of The Australian Investors Podcast, Botched economist Drew Meredith, CFP and finfluencer Owen Rask dive into Emerging Markets 102, picking small and mid-cap ASX fund managers, whether or not to use an SMSF and more.
Questions for this Saturday’s Australian Investors Podcast 2 Sense Segment
What’s a good minimum dollar value for someone just starting out to invest?
Can we have more information regarding SMSF? I would like to know about Trusts and company set ups. Or if you have podcasts let me know where I can find these. Love listening and have completed a couple of courses. Always learning! Thanks Maree
As per the podcast I started investing in IVV etf. The price shows around 55 dollar per share. But when I listen again it says $ 561 per share. Then I went back and searched it shows $55 shows Australian flag and $561 shows US flag. What is the difference between those two?
Hi Lads, you talk about getting access to active managers and for portfolios aimed small caps or even emerging markets. What active managers can us retail investors gain access to for Aussie Small-Mid Cap? Having a hard time finding one that isn’t a LIC. Cheers guys
What are some considerations for deciding if/how much currency hedging to incorporate in a portfolio? Is it even necessary, particularly for those with a small investment balance whose major assets will be their home and income in AUD. Obviously Rask Invest and other services need to pick something that suits the majority of customers, but are there other criteria DIY investors can think about to determine the right allocation for them? (Acceptable answers do not include “it depends”) 😊
