2 excellent ASX shares to buy in May 2022
I think there are some great ASX shares to buy in May 2022. The environment of inflation and interest rate rise expectations is creating opportunities.

For my own portfolio, I like to find ASX shares that are growing their dividends. Growth is an essential part of the dividend equation for me. I want to see that the dividend increases are funded by growing earnings and/or growing underlying asset values. I also have a portion of my portfolio invested in an ETF that picks undervalued global businesses with strong competitive advantages.
For Rask Media, I have an interest in covering technology (and tech-related) businesses with a global growth story, as well as cyclical companies that are cheaply priced because they’re at a low point in the cycle, such as retailers and resource businesses which could benefit strongly in the medium-term.

May 2022 could be a great month to look at some ASX growth shares that have been sold off but have plenty of growth potential.

The Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ASX:FMG) share price is up after the miner announced record shipments with its quarterly update.

The ASX share market is going through a lot of volatility right now. But I think there are plenty of ASX share opportunities.

The Pushpay Holdings Ltd (ASX:PPH) share price is jumping higher after the electronic donation business announced takeover interest.

May 2022 could be an opportune time to buy shares of some leading ASX dividend share candidates like Washington H. Soul Pattinson (ASX:SOL).

I think these 3 ASX tech shares are top contenders for the long-term, including Xero Limited (ASX:XRO) and Airtasker Ltd (ASX:ART).

The Zip Co Ltd (ASX:ZIP) share price is under the spotlight after releasing its FY22 third quarter update.
