Big money is not in the buying or selling, but in the waiting.
For my own portfolio, I like to find ASX shares that are growing their dividends. Growth is an essential part of the dividend equation for me. I want to see that the dividend increases are funded by growing earnings and/or growing underlying asset values. I also have a portion of my portfolio invested in an ETF that picks undervalued global businesses with strong competitive advantages.
For Rask Media, I have an interest in covering technology (and tech-related) businesses with a global growth story, as well as cyclical companies that are cheaply priced because they’re at a low point in the cycle, such as retailers and resource businesses which could benefit strongly in the medium-term.

Software business LiveTiles Ltd (ASX:LVT) has released its annualised recurring revenue (ARR) to the end of June 2019.
The ASX 200 (INDEXASX:XJO)(^AXJO) is expected to open lower today, the USA’s S&P 500 Index (.INX) rose by 0.23% on Thursday.
The Michael Hill International Ltd (ASX:MHJ) share price is not glittering today, it’s down around 2% after releasing a trading update.
Australia’s share market, or the All Ordinaries Index (INDEXASX:XAO)(ASX:XAO), is currently up 0.35% at lunch.
