For my own portfolio, I like to find ASX shares that are growing their dividends. Growth is an essential part of the dividend equation for me. I want to see that the dividend increases are funded by growing earnings and/or growing underlying asset values. I also have a portion of my portfolio invested in an ETF that picks undervalued global businesses with strong competitive advantages.
For Rask Media, I have an interest in covering technology (and tech-related) businesses with a global growth story, as well as cyclical companies that are cheaply priced because they’re at a low point in the cycle, such as retailers and resource businesses which could benefit strongly in the medium-term.

The share price of AGL Energy Ltd (ASX:AGL) will be on watch today as it announced an update on its Crib Point gas import project in Victoria.

The ASX 200 (INDEXASX:XJO)(^AXJO) is expected to open lower today, the USA’s S&P 500 Index (.INX) fell by 0.04% on Thursday.

IOOF Holdings Limited (ASX:IFL) has announced it is divesting its holding in Ord Minnett.

The Scentre Group (ASX:SCG) share price rose 1.5% today as it announced a large asset sale and a big share buy-back.

Centuria Industrial Reit (ASX:CIP) is the latest real estate investment trust (REIT) to launch a capital raising.

Australia’s share market, or the All Ordinaries Index (INDEXASX:XAO)(ASX:XAO), is currently up 0.06% at lunch.

The Transurban Group (ASX:TCL) share price is down around 1% after successfully pricing some debt.

The Aurizon Holdings Ltd (ASX:AZJ) share price is down 0.8% after announcing some news to the market.
