Over the past decade, our financial experts have conducted financial wellness programs for AFL and cricket teams, global technology companies, Australia’s largest telcos, 5-person businesses, 5,000-person businesses, community groups, and more.
Here’s a checklist of things you should look for in corporate financial wellness programs in Australia:
Is the educator actually qualified and authorised?
Note: This is not about experience, but actually asking yourself, ‘Is this person qualified under Australian law?’. Depending on your company’s goal, you may need to ensure the provider operates under an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). We believe this is the ultimate seal of authority because it is a very high hurdle to achieve (and it’s a legal requirement, depending on the material being offered). You can check if the company/person’s AFSL is current by searching the professional register at asic.gov.au. You will notice in our website footer (down this page) that we have all of this, plus a load of other important disclaimers designed to protect Australians from scams and salespeople dressed as experts. For example, if you simply want to offer your team a factual education on budgeting and debt management, your educator legally doesn’t need to operate under a licence. However, if you would like the financial educator to open up for some basic share market Q&A, offer a generalised opinion on superannuation material, or explain the pros and cons of insurance, that educator needs to operate under a licence.
Does the educator, or their parent company, want to sell your team financial ‘products’?
If you’re getting a financial wellness program put together by a big bank, mortgage broker, or financial advice business (like us), do you think their material may be biased? While bias is a human quirk, it’s important to understand why the company might be offering a wellness program and the potential consequences of your team being exposed to that brand. No educator connected to Rask is allowed to recommend something our business will benefit from—other than our online educational courses and memberships. But if you choose to use us, your team gets access to our courses and programs anyway. Our educators receive a fixed fee for the program and follow a workshop format that has been reviewed by their peers to ensure your experience is industry-leading across aspects like engagement and impact.
What is the format of the financial program?
Many financial wellness providers offer in-person, online, or a hybrid (e.g., one-day workshop + online). Many will offer financial wellness programs as once-off, ongoing, group plus individual training, or just group-based training. We believe ongoing programs or ‘educational sprints’, across multiple sessions, are significantly more effective and impactful on your team than once-off programs.
Does the financial wellness program offer ongoing benefits?
We believe the best programs have multiple touchpoints; otherwise, you risk paying thousands of dollars for a ‘session’ that no one engages with or is simply left with more questions than answers. Finance is arguably one of the most intimidating and ‘wide’ topics of life that can be extremely overwhelming at first. The iceberg analogy applies (there’s a lot more to it underneath the surface). Depending on your needs, our programs always come with unlimited access to Rask’s online finance courses and our membership, and our experienced money coach partners may also offer one-to-one coaching.
Your financial education partner should be able to give you confidence across each of these items.
Why does Rask offer financial wellness programs?

As of 2025, we have enrolled 32,000+ students and reached more than 1 million Australians across our podcasts, websites, and events.
