Woolworths Shares Up, ALL ORDINARIES Slightly Higher

Australia’s share market, or the All Ordinaries Index (INDEXASX: XAO)(ASX: XAO), is up by 0.18% at lunch.

Australia’s share market, or the All Ordinaries Index (INDEXASX: XAO)(ASX: XAO), is up by 0.18% at lunch. The Woolworths Group Ltd (ASX: WOW) share price is up 1.18% this morning after Coles announced its quarterly sales.

The Wesfarmers Ltd (ASX: WES) share price is down 0.44% so far after revealing its quarterly sales. Bunnings Australia & New Zealand and Kmart delivered growth of around 10%, Coles sales increased by 0.3%, Target’s sales were down 2% and Officeworks sales increased by 8.8%.

Private hospital business Healthscope Ltd (ASX: HSO) jumped 13% after announcing it had received a takeover offer from AustralianSuper and other investors. The offer will have to go through a number of conditions before it can potentially be accepted.

The shares of gold miner Newcrest Mining Limited (ASX: NCM) are up 0.53% after releasing its quarterly result.

Westpac Banking Corp (ASX: WBC) is down 2.45% after the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) announced it would end the cap on investor loan growth, UBS has slashes its ‘price target’ for the oldest bank.
